Our commitment to community education and support extends to a range of workshops and programs devised specifically for delivery to TAFE and school groups.
Adaptable and tailored, these programs are focused on teaching the next generation of drivers how to avoid the dangers of drink and drug driving.
The EARLY program is aimed at 16-18 year olds targeting harm reduction and education around alcohol and other drugs as an early intervention tool.
These students are approaching that crucial time in their lives where they start to drive independently or are travelling as passengers of novice drivers.
The program is run with the facilitators from the Traffic Offenders Rehabilitation Program (TORP) who work closely with young offenders in the community. The EARLY program is interactive and educates young people on the effects of using substances and other dangerous driving behaviour.
The program includes, games, information on substances, young guest speakers and moving talks from paraplegics or other victims’ of road trauma.
The program can able to be tailored to your school or service needs and can run from an hour to a whole day.
